Parker Homestead is the perfect place for your scout retreat! Homestead has several different programs to choose from.

Rent the Grounds! Scoutmasters can rent the Homestead grounds for their group overnight or all weekend to camp out, have a bon fire, and a great time. Scouts can have their rental fee waved if they choose to perform a service project. Completion of any approved service project will also earn scouts the Homestead patch for $5.00. |

Scouts can receive programs on one or more Homestead activities, including soapmaking, broom making, sorghum harvesting and squeezing, dutch oven cooking, barn raising, carpentry, kettle korn, grist milling, blacksmithing, and more. Email for available activities. Completion of any activity earns your Homestead patch for $5. Activities are seasonal, so contact us for information about current offerings. |

Big Scout events! Scout councils can reserve the grounds for large events, up to 1,500 scouts, for merit badge workshops, retreats, or camp-a-rees. Programs or activities can be provided upon request.

Special events. Would your scout group like to meet with REAL ghost hunters? How about an archeology or Native American program? Interested in horsemanship? Let us know what you have in mind. From a spooky night in our deserted town to a mock archeological dig or a horseback ride, if you can dream it, we’ll see if we can’t make it happen.
